DeKalb County is advancing water conservation efforts by hosting workshops.

DeKalb County’s Department of Watershed Management, in collaboration with the Stone Mountain Memorial Association, will host its next Adopt-A-Stream Water Quality Workshop on Saturday, Aug. 10, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The Stone Mountain Confederate Hall Historical and Environmental Education Center is located at 2003 Robert E. Lee Blvd. in Stone Mountain.
Participants will be trained on how to collect water samples from DeKalb County streams, perform chemical and bacteriological testing, and analyze and interpret water-quality data.
“We appreciate the effort that every citizen of DeKalb County is making to advance our water conservation and protection efforts,” Interim CEO Lee May said. “It is critical that we continue to focus on making water a sustainable resource.”
