Alzheimer's Team Thanks Congressman Henry "Hank" Johnson
Alzheimer's Meeting with Congressman Henry "Hank" Johnson Office Staff

Recent Meeting with the Staff of Congressman Henry “Hank” Johnson
Thank You
One (1) in 3 seniors dies with Alzheimer’s disease. The only leading cause of death in the U.S. that cannot be prevented, cured or even slowed, it is imperative that we have elected officials who are working to make Alzheimer’s a national priority.
As an Alzheimer’s Association advocate, I was fortunate to meet with meet with Congressman Henry "Hank" Johnson’s Lithonia Office Staff, Mr. Joshua Smith and Director Kathy Register to discuss the staggering impact of Alzheimer’s on Georgia and across the nation. In this meeting at his Lithonia district office, my fellow advocates and I shared our own personal experience with this devastating disease. We thanked Congressman Johnson for his role as a champion in Congress for signing on as a Co-Sponsor of the BOLD Infrastructure and for supporting the recent 2019 NIH (National Institute of Health) Budget of $425 Million for Alzheimer’s Research.
