Caught On Camera: Fight Between Stone Mountain Teacher, Paraprofessional
DeKalb School District says two Stone Mountain Middle educators seen fighting on video have been "removed from the learning environment."
STONE MOUNTAIN, GA — A video showing two women, purportedly a Stone Mountain Middle School teacher and paraprofessional, fighting in a classroom is circulating on social media this week. The video shows the women tussling and slamming into the whiteboard while students scream in panic and disbelief.
While there is no word on what sparked the altercation, the 24-second clip shows the two women going at it even as a student runs up to try to stop them and another woman physically intervening, screaming "STOP! STOP! STOP!" (To get notified of more local news like this, click here to sign up for the Stone Mountain Patch. Or find your Atlanta-area town here. "The interaction and conduct in the video is completely unacceptable and contrary to our district’s tenets and core principles. The district requires that its employees behave in a manner that is professional, civil and a positive example for our students. Those staff members that participated in the conduct have been removed from the learning environment. Following due process, DCSD will act swiftly and decisively to hold those employees accountable for their actions."
