Georgia's Most Dangerous Intersection: Report
This intersection was rated as the worst in Georgia by a recent survey. What would you say is the state's worst intersection?

STONE MOUNTAIN, GA — A number of crossroads in Georgia could be contenders for the worst intersection ever. But there is one in each region that stands above the rest as the most dangerous when it comes to fatal crashes.
The most dangerous intersection in Georgia is Memorial Drive and North Hairston Road in Stone Mountain, according to a recent survey. Data from the National Highway Travel Safety Administration was used in determining the ranking, as was crowd-sourced information.
Time Magazine compiled a list of each state's most dangerous intersection based on a National Highway Traffic Safety Administration study on fatal crashes, counting how many occurred within about 150 feet of one another between 2003 and 2012.

The most perilous intersection in the whole country is Bensalem, Pennsylvania, 20 miles northeast of Philadelphia, according to the study.

More than 40,200 Americans died in motor vehicle crashes in 2016, according to the National Safety Council, making last year the deadliest year on roads in the U.S. in almost a decade.
It is also estimated that 4.6 million Americans were injured in motor vehicle accidents in that same time period.
