Man Killed, Child Injured In Double Shooting At DeKalb Apartments

DEKALB COUNTY, GA — DeKalb County police are investigating a double shooting at a DeKalb County apartment complex Sunday afternoon, in which one man died and one child was injured.

The shooting happened in the 5000 block of Fairington Ridge Circle in Stonecrest around 12:15 p.m. Sunday, police said. When officers arrived, a man in his 40s was found dead and a second victim, which police said was a young boy, was stable when taken to the hospital.

Names and specific ages of the victims or any potential suspects have not been released. It is unclear if the two victims were the targets of the gunfire.
