A Painting Under The Tree

Consider Original Art for that Last Minute Gift

What does an artist do during an extended period of isolation? “I’ve been painting new works since the nightmare began,” said Olivia Thomason who has been keeping busy in her home studio since last spring. With in-person visits cancelled and galleries suffering financially, the Stone Mountain artist has discovered a new and very receptive audience for her works.

“A painting of flowers or a family having fun can really change a mood or brighten a room,” she observed, adding that her best-sellers have been works that feature flowers or recall nostalgic events. Tulips, Carnations, Sunflowers, Magnolias are in demand, but scenes of Stone Mountain Village continue to be requested. Tunes by the Tracks, the Farmer’s Market and the ceremonies honors Dr. King on the January national holiday preserve memories and serve, she says, to inspire optimism for a return to normalcy.

Variety is one of Ms. Thomason’s signatures and the range available for this holiday season covers the spectrum. Prints and original paintings are still available and she is offering framing and shipping as an option.

Olivia Thomason says she’s sticking close to home this holiday season and if you’re caught in that last minute bind and need a gift that has meaning and permanence, one of her paintings could be the solution to indecision.

Merry Christmas!
