Police Identify Man Found Shot To Death In DeKalb Basement

A 30-year-old man found shot to death early Monday in a DeKalb County basement has been identified, according to news reports.

LITHONIA, GA -- Police in DeKalb County have identified a 30-year-old man found shot to death inside the basement of a Lithonia home, Patch has learned. The homeowner identified the victim as 30-year-old Steven Mayer, according to news reports.

That's when the homeowner discovered the body of the man, WGCL reports. As of now, police have no suspects in the case and continue to investigate.

“We have not made any connections to any other homicides (that) may have happened in the area,” DeKalb police Lt. Lonzy Robertson told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
