Slaying Suspect Arrested At Bus Stop In DeKalb: ICYMI

A fugitive wanted in the shootings of two people, one of them fatally, was arrested Friday at a bus stop in Lithonia, authorities said.

LITHONIA, GA -- A Lithonia man has been arrested in the shooting of two people this past spring, DeKalb County law enforcement officials announced recently. Quinton Bentford, 30, was apprehended by the DeKalb Sheriff’s Office Fugitive Unit on Friday at a bus stop on Panola Road, authorities said.

Bentford is wanted for allegedly opening fire on two people on May 15 on Chupp Road in Lithonia. One of the victims died, according to DeKalb Sheriff's Office spokeswoman Cynthia Baugh Williams. Warrants were issued for Bentford's arrest on Aug. 26, she said.
