Special Election Held Tuesday For Georgia House District 90
The special election comes after former state Rep. Pam Stephenson (D-Lithonia) withdrew her candidacy in September.

DEKALB COUNTY, GA — Voters in parts of DeKalb, Henry and Rockdale counties can head to the polls today to vote on a new state representative in a special election for Georgia House District 90.
Six Democratic candidates — Diandra Hines, Angela Moore, Greg Shealey, Joel Thibodeaux, Stan Watson and Ed Williams — are vying for former state Rep. Pam Stephenson's seat in the state House. Stephenson (D-Lithonia) withdrew her candidacy in September after winning the primary and after holding the seat for more than 15 years.
Polls are open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 9 for Election Day. If no one candidate clears the 50 percent + 1 threshold, a runoff between the top two candidates with the most votes is planned for March 9.
