Teen Arrested In Stone Mountain Murder Case

Authorities say he shot another teen in the face in early June in a possibly drug-related crime.

STONE MOUNTAIN, GA — A 17-year-old has been arrested and charged with shooting another teenager in the face in Stone Mountain in early June, killing him.

A fugitive unit from the DeKalb County Sheriff's Office arrested Jerell Curtis on Tuesday in an apartment off of Fairington Parkway in Lithonia.

Erasmus Pratt was shot at the Terra Creek Apartments, in the 4900 block of Central Drive in Stone Mountain, on June 9. Authorities issued a warrant for Curtis's arrest that same day on an aggravated assault charge. When Pratt later died, a murder charge was added.

DeKalb authorities said at the time of the shooting that it may have been drug related.
