Young Africans Performing in Stone Mountain
Musicians and dancers from Kenya and Uganda will be here in January.
The Young Africans, a group of singers, musicians and dancers who graduated from the African Children’s Choir, will perform a free concert in Stone Mountain next month.
The performers, now in their early twenties, "will share various cultural elements from their countries of Kenya and Uganda with a Stomp-inspired dance as well as highlighting unique African instruments," a press release stated.
The concert is set for Friday, Jan. 24 at 7 p.m. at Grace Presbyterian Church, 650 Rowland Road in Stone Mountain. Call 404-292-5514 for more information.
