2 AHeights Men Charged In Alleged Sex Abuse Of Girls

The men were arrested after they were accused of luring the girls, 12 and 13, to their apartment over the weekend, according to police.

ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, IL — Two Arlington Heights men are accused of sexually assaulting two girls after allegedly luring them into their apartment and serving them alcohol. Mike Steven Motta-Saenz, 21, was charged with two counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse and a single count of predatory criminal sexual assault of a child, and Juan Jair Solis-Gaspar, also 21, faces a charge of aggravated criminal sexual abuse.

During a hearing Wednesday, Motta-Saenz was ordered held on $1.5 million bail, according to the Daily Herald. Solis-Gaspar's bail was set at $750,000, and he could face additional charges, the report added.

According to Arlington Heights police, the girls, 12 and 13, were riding their bikes Saturday, July 28, when Motta-Saenz and Solis-Gaspar allegedly lured them into their apartment in the 0-100 block of North Dryden Place, the report stated. Once inside, the men are accused of sexually assaulting the girls after giving them alcohol, the report added.

Police received a search warrant for the men's apartment after the girls told their parents and were interviewed and examined at the Cook County Children's Advocacy Center, the report stated. Motta-Saenz and Solis-Gaspar were arrested Tuesday, and their next court date is Aug. 23.
