AH Park District Extends Skating Season at Frontier Rink
Cold weather allows district to have hockey rink open.

Ice skating aficionados and hockey players can enjoy Arlington Heights Park District's Frontier Park’s ice rink for a little while longer thanks to colder temps the last few days.
The Arlington Heights Park District’s website gives skaters daily updates on skating conditions. While eight of the district’s nine rinks are now closed for the season, Frontier Park is listed as open.
Park district crews broomed and resurfaced the rink Sunday and the cold overnight temperatures helped the rink remain open. The district will reevaluate the rink Monday.

Skating may be ending but sledding hills in area parks are open. Unsupervised sled hills are located at Heritage, Green Slopes, Sunset Meadows, and Nickol Knoll Parks.
Keep in mind sledding at all sites is at your own risk; only plastic sleds and tubes are allowed and snowboards are not allowed, the park district’s website states.
