Arlington Heights Police: Thefts, Criminal Damage Reports
Police issue crime alerts about several incidents throughout the village.

Theft of Motor Parts

Someone stole a spare tire and rim, valued at $900, from a 2011 Nissa Xterra between April 1-12, police said. The theft occurred in a driveway on the 900 block of N. Belmont Ave.
Criminal Damage Reports

-Someone knocked over part of a brick wall surrounding a sewer drain on association property in the area of W. Essex Place sometime Saturday, April 13 and Sunday, April 14, police said. The cost to repair the damage is between $200 to $900.
-An unknown offender threat a small rock through a patio sliding glass door in the 4100 block of Bloomington Avenue on April 13.
-Someone angry over where a victim parked her car to drop off someone at the Metra station on Northwest Highway dragged a duffel bag along the driver’s side of a blue 2012 Kia Optima causing minor scratches on April 12, reports stated.
-Four tires on a white 2008 Scion TC were punctured in the 1600 block of N. Windsor Drive between April 12-13 causing $1,200 in damage, police said. The same victim had four tires punctured on a Chevy Truck two months ago. Police received another report of tires punctured on silver 1994 Ford Thunderbird, in the same area on the same dates, reports stated. The damage was reported at $800.
Thefts Reported
-Large paver stones were stolen from the front entrance of a vacant restaurant, the former Yanni’s at 10 E. Algonquin Road, between March 28 and April 12, police said. The pavers are valued at $1,500.
-A black 20 inch Giant Cypress bicycle, valued at $500, was stolen from a downtown parking garage on Vail Street sometime on April 11 or 12, police said. The offender took off a cable lock to take the bike.
-Several items were stolen from unlocked lockers at XSport Fitness, 960 W. Dundee Road, on April 12 including a black leather wallet, an Illinois driver’s license, and a debit card. In a second theft, someone took a black Samsonite gym bag containing an iPhone, a jacket and keys, police said.
