Reconstruction & Rehabilitation Program
There are16 different segments of streets in the Village that have been selected for the Reconstruction and Rehabilitation program. The selection is based on streets being at a stage of deterioration where the curb and gutter is no longer functioning properly, there is failure of the street's subbase and the main part of the street is in poor condition.

On April 5, 2021, the Village Board awarded a contract for $3,990,700.00 to J.A. Johnson Paving Company for the 2021 MFT Street Reconstruction Program. This work is funded by the Village’s share of the State’s Motor Fuel Taxes (MFT) and the REBUILD Illinois Bond Grant Funds. The Project Engineer for the Street Rehabilitation & Reconstruction Program is Briget Schwab.

Resurfacing Program
Village streets selected for the resurfacing program are those that are in the beginning stages of deterioration. This maintenance program, which involves more streets than Rehabilitation & Reconstruction, is intended to extend the life of the street. Intermittent curb and sidewalk are removed and replaced and the street is milled and resurfaced. This year's program includes 5 miles of asphalt pavement which will performed by Arrow Road Construction per a bid awarded by the Village Board on April 19, 2021 for $2.2 million. The Project Engineer for the Street Resurfacing Program is Aldair Vargas.
