Blizzard Closings, Delays For AHeights Schools, Businesses
Find out what's closed or opening late Monday because of the snowstorm blowing through the area.

ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, IL — The first snow of the season doesn't always mean a day off for schools. But when that first snow is a blizzard, odds are pretty good must students will be able to sleep in late.
That's the case for the snowstorm making its way through the Chicago area Sunday night and early Monday. The National Weather Service has issued a blizzard warning until 9 a.m. Monday, Nov. 26, for Cook and Will counties.
Snow accumulations are expected to be 7 to 11 inches, with localized amounts reaching 13 inches, according to the weather agency. Wind gusts as strong as 45 mph could cause blowing snow and whiteout conditions, and snowfall rates could be more than 2 inches per hour.
