Buffalo Grove Discussing Pot Shops: Take Our Survey

Recreational marijuana has been legal in Illinois since January. Several towns are reconsidering their "no" votes on allowing its sale.

BUFFALO GROVE, IL — There's no denying that the legalization of recreational marijuana in Illinois six months ago has been a big hit. Cannabis consumers statewide have spent well over $300 million since January on weed, according to estimates.

Now, many municipalities that were originally lukewarm to allowing recreational marijuana dispensaries in their towns are reconsidering their initial "no" votes. The Arlington Heights Village Board and the Highland Park City Council were set to discuss cannabis at Monday meetings.

Patch wants to hear from readers about their thoughts on where things are headed in their municipalities and in the state. Take our quick survey and let us know what you think. Thanks in advance for participating.
