Car Strikes Strip Mall Tuesday Afternoon

The car struck a support column and did not enter the building.

A car struck a support column of a strip mall in the 1700 block of West Campbell Street, the Daily Herald is reporting.

The vehicle only caused damage to the column and didn’t go into the building of the strip mall, which contains an Ace Hardware, Cake Box bakery and cleaners.

Arlington Heights building department officials were on scene Tuesday night to evaluate the building’s structural integrity.
