Carnival Jamboree Returns With Frontier Days Moved To 2022
The carnival will run from July 1 through July 5 in Arlington Heights.
ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, IL — While the people behind the upcoming Carnival Jamboree admit it's not quite Frontier Days, they're hoping to still put on a great show before the latter returns in 2022. The carnival will run at 500 E Miner St. from July 1 through July 5.
CARNIVAL HOURS
- 5 to 11 p.m. Thursday, July 1
- 5 to 11 p.m. Friday, July 2
- Noon to 11 p.m. Saturday, July 3
- Noon to 11 p.m. Sunday, July 4
- Noon to 10 p.m. Monday, July 5
In March, the Frontier Days board opted to postpone the festival as it had in 2020 for the safety of its Red Shirts volunteers, attendees and vendors. The annual event, which centers around the Fourth of July holiday, is put on by the not-for-profit Frontier Days, Inc., an organization of more than 350 volunteers. The lauded festival has been a recipient of the Governor's Hometown Award on multiple occasions.
For the safety of the community, the board also said there will be no Fourth of July parade this year, but is hoping families will enjoy the carnival.
