Adelman Named to President's List At Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design

Miranda N. Adelman, of Arlington Heights, was placed on the President's List at the Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design with a GPA of 3.7/4 for both the spring and fall 2020 semesters. The junior also earned Dean's Recognition scholarship for each of the three years she has attended MIAD.

Arlington Heights's Kristen Lowe helps lead Dance Marathon to $1.4 million of support for University of Iowa Stead Family Children's Hospital

Kristen Lowe, of Arlington Heights, was one of more than 1,400 current University of Iowa students who participated in the 27th annual student-led Dance Marathon which raised more than $1.4 million for the University of Iowa Stead Family Children's Hospital and one of just 275 Iowa students who held leadership positions with the organization. Lowe served as a Leadership/Event Committee Member during the current academic year. The final tally raised by the students — who were inspired by the theme of this year's Dance Marathon: "Rise with Resilience" — was $1,422,443.27, a total which pushed the amount of support generated by Dance Marathon over the course of its history to more than $31 million.
