Tess Cruz Named To the University of Rhode Island Fall 2020 Dean's List
The University of Rhode Island is pleased to announce the Fall 2020 Dean's List. The students represent nearly all of Rhode Island's cities and towns, all six New England states, New York and New Jersey, and many other states and countries. To be included on the Dean's List, full-time students must have completed 12 or more credits for letter grades during a semester and achieved at least a 3.30 quality point average. Part-time students qualify with the accumulation of 12 or more credits for letter grades earning at least a 3.30 quality point average.

Donato Participates In Daytona 500 Practicum At Iowa
With stadiums, arenas, and other sports venues filled with cardboard cutouts of fans and prerecorded crowd noise due to COVID-19, television viewership has never been so important in keeping current fans engaged as well as luring in new fans. During a first-time practicum course in fall 2020, 30 Iowa students — a group that included Trevor Donato, of Arlington Heights, worked with executives from NASCAR and Fox Sports to develop promotional campaigns to increase awareness, engagement, and viewership of the sport's 2021 opener, the Daytona 500.

Zielinski Makes Dean's List at Auburn University
Alexis Zielinski, of Arlington Heights, was named to the dean's list at Auburn University. The sophomore is a graduate of Rolling Meadows High School and is majoring in apparel merchandising, minor of business.

Grace Cacini Makes Fall 2020 Dean's List at Adelphi University in New York
Grace Cacini, of Arlington Heights, has been named to Adelphi University's fall 2020 Dean's List. Cacini was among a select group of outstanding students recognized by Adelphi's deans of Arts and Sciences, Education and Health Science, Business, Nursing and Public Health, Social Work and Psychology for superior academic performance. The list comprises full-time students-registered for 12 or more credits-who have completed at least nine graded credits and achieved a GPA of 3.5 or above for the semester. This recognition becomes part of the student's academic record and is entered into the individual's transcript.

Dance Marathon Overcomes "Rises," Raises $1.4 M for UI Stead Family Children's Hospital
More than 1,400 current University of Iowa students who participated in the 27th annual student-led Dance Marathon which raised more than $1.4 million for the University of Iowa Stead Family Children's Hospital. The final tally raised by the students -- who were inspired by the theme of this year's Dance Marathon: "Rise with Resilience" -- was $1,422,443.27, a total which pushed the amount of support generated by Dance Marathon over the course of its history to more than $31 million.The students listed below participated in this year's Dance Marathon:
