University Of Mississippi Celebrates Class Of 2021's Ryan O'beirne

Ryan John O'beirne, of Arlington Heights, is among the more than 5,000 candidates for graduation in the Class of 2021 who were celebrated during the university's 168th Commencement exercises April 29 - May 2. O'beirne, who is a Banking and Finance major, is a candidate for a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in the School of Business Administration.

Mary Stahlman Inducted Into Omicron Delta Kappa Honor Society

Mary Stahlman, of Arlington Heights, was inducted into the Omicron Delta Kappa Honor Society during the University of Alabama's virtual Tapping on the Mound ceremony April 9. The Omicron Delta Kappa Society is the national leadership honor society for college students, faculty, staff, administrators and alumni that recognizes and encourages superior scholarship, leadership and exemplary character. Membership in ODK is a mark of the highest distinction and honor.

Sara Martino Named To NCHA All-Academic Team

The Northern Collegiate Hockey Association has announced the conference All-Academic teams. Trine University women's hockey led the way with 15 student-athletes on the squad, the men's hockey team finished second among NCHA members with 15 students of their own. Sara Martino, of Arlington Heights, majoring in Undeclared at Trine, was among the student-athletes named to the NCHA All-Academic teams. In all, 214 student-athletes were honored across the NCHA, with both sides setting new all-time highs for an individual men's or women's team, breaking the former marks on the men's side with the 22 (the record was 17) and for the women with the 15 (was 12) that were just reset last winter. Students must be at least a sophomore to be eligible for the teams.
