Evan Schmidt Awarded Degree from Miami University

Evan Schmidt, of Arlington Heights, was among more than 1,000 students from Miami University who received degrees during the virtual fall commencement on Dec. 11, 2020. Schmidt graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree, majoring in political science.

Lumia Earns Degree From University Of Alabama

Samuel Lumia, of Arlington Heights, has received the following from The University of Alabama: Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering. UA awarded some 2,257 degrees during its fall commencement Dec. 12.

Robinson Named To Fall 2020 Dean's List

Quinn Robinson, of Arlington Heights, is one of 2,000 students who were named to Bradley University's Fall 2020 Dean's List. Robinson is majoring in Mechanical Engineering Biomedical Engineering. To be eligible for the Dean's List, a student must achieve a minimum 3.5 grade point average for the semester on a 4.0 scale.

Marsicek Makes Dean's List At Purdue University

Elise Marsicek, of Arlington Heights, was named to the dean's list at Purdue University. She is majoring in UX Design.

Local Residents Named To Dean's List At UW-Whitewater

The following students were named to the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater Dean's List for the 2020 fall semester:

• Ralitza Stavreva, of Arlington Heights

These students have demonstrated their academic abilities by receiving a grade point average of 3.4 or above in a single semester. The Registrar's Office reports 3,921 students were selected for the Dean's List for the fall semester. About 12,000 students are currently enrolled at the university's Whitewater and Rock County campuses.
