Ditka’s Arlington Heights Closing By Year's End
Ditka's is shutting its doors within weeks, with no reason given. The OTB that shares location is unaffected.

ARLINGTON HEIGHTS — It’s game over Ditka’s Restaurant. The eatery, which opened in 2014, will shut its doors for the final time before the end of the year, a village official confirmed to the Chicago Tribune last week. The closure follows the shuttering of Ditka’s locations in Arizona and suburban Pittsburgh earlier this year. The Off-Track Betting establishment that shares the two-story space with Ditka’s, 2000 W. Euclid Ave., will not be affected by the closure.
The business, which is named after Chicago Bears legend and NFL Hall of Fame member Mike Ditka, cut its hours of operation this summer from lunch and dinner seven days a week, then to dinner seven nights a week and lunch on weekends. The restaurant is now only open Thursday thru Saturday for dinner, according to its website.
A reason for the location’s closure was not given to the village. The restaurant is currently accepting reservations through Dec. 17 via OpenTable. The downtown Chicago Ditka's location is promoting a New Year's Eve party through the restaurant's Facebook Page.
