Don't Miss the Mane Event, Taste of Arlington Heights Celebrations

From the Village of Arlington Heights: Take it to the streets on Friday, August 4 and Saturday, August 5 for the Mane Event held on Friday followed by the Taste of Arlington Heights on Saturday. These bookend events both occur on Vail and Campbell in Downtown, and combine to make one of the biggest weekend celebrations of the summer!

This block-party styled weekend is a crescendo to the summer and both events are ripe for celebration with live music from favorite local bands, amazing food and beverages from local restaurants, a business expo at the Mane Event, and children's entertainment.

Mane Event (yes, it is spelled M-A-N-E in reference to a horse’s mane) and the Taste of Arlington Heights weekend kicks off the Million Week in recognition of the upcoming 35th running of the Arlington Million, the premier racing event held at Arlington International Racecourse on Saturday, August 12. Be sure to check out activities held at the Racetrack during the week leading up to the Arlington Million.

The Mane Event is from 5 - 11 PM at Vail & Campbell

• 5-11 p.m.: Business Expo
• 5-8 p.m.: Children's Entertainment
• 6:30 p.m.: The Student Body
• 8:30 p.m.: Libido Funk Circus

Taste of Arlington Heights, Saturday, August 5 (Organized by the Arlington Heights Chamber of Commerce)
The Taste of Arlington is from Noon - 11 PM at Vail & Campbell

• Noon : School of Rock -Arlington Heights
• 2:30 p.m.: Suburban Chicago's Got Talent - Finale and Winner announce
• 4:30 p.m.: Second Time Around
• 6:30 p.m.: Exit 147
• 8:30 p.m.: ARRA

Arlington Million, Saturday, August 12

The Arlington Million is held at Arlington International Racecourse, 2200 W. Euclid.
Gates open at 11 AM for the must-attend event of summer. Experience the biggest day of racing in Illinois!
