"Hundreds" of Students Opt Out of PARCC Test
Arlington Heights' John Hersey High School among schools with students opting out of PARCC tests.

Nine High Schools make up High School District 214, including Arlington Heights’ John Hersey High School. And a great deal of students in the district have opted out of taking the PARCC test.
The Chicago Tribune is reporting that “hundreds of students have declined to take the controversial PARCC exam at two northwest suburban high schools.”
“District spokeswoman Jennifer Delgado could not say how many students opted out of the test,” the Chicago Tribune is reporting. “But she said a “large amount” of students at Rolling Meadows High did not take the exam, the most within the district’s six high schools.”
