Local Election Coverage: Arlington Heights Village Board

Six candidates ran for four seats on the Arlington Heights Village Board

Incumbents appear to have kept the seats on the Arlington Heights Village Board Tuesday night.

Incumbents John Scaletta, Mike Sidor, Carol Blackwood and Robin LaBedz led, according to unofficial election results, with 63 of 65 precincts reporting:

  • Scaletta: 3,930 votes
  • Sidor: 3,819 votes
  • Blackwood: 3,819 votes
  • LaBedz: 3,777 votes

At a forum hosted by the League of Women Voters on March 4, candidates Sidor, LaBedz and Blackwood said the most pressing issue is Gov. Bruce Rauner’s proposed cuts to what municipalities receive from state income tax revenue.”
