Man Touches Girl On Buttocks During Walk To School: Police

The man approached the girl Monday morning in the area of East Valley Lane and North Pine Tree Drive in Arlington Heights, police said.

ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, IL — A juvenile girl told police she was approached by an unknown man while walking to school Monday morning in the area of East Valley Lane and North Pine Tree Drive in Arlington Heights. She said the man began speaking to her at around 9 a.m. and then touched her on the buttocks. She was able to run away, and she was not injured, according to a news release from police.

The Arlington Heights Police Department is seeking witnesses and is requesting assistance from the public in identifying the suspect.

The man was described as dark-skinned, possibly African-American, 30-40 years of age, around 6 feet tall, with an average build. He also had a goatee and was wearing a blue surgical mask, which was pulled down. The man was wearing a blue shirt and unknown colored sweatpants.

There is no vehicle associated with the crime at this time.
