Medieval Times Reopens Next Month In Schaumburg

The move follows updates to Phase 4 of the state's reopening plan that allows 25 percent seating capacity at indoor entertainment venues.

While some Medieval Times locations have already reopened across the United States, the Schaumburg castle has remained closed for the past year.

SCHAUMBURG, IL — Get ready for the return of some epic battles next month. Medieval Times, a national restaurant chain, will reopen its Schaumburg location in April after being closed for the past year amid the coronavirus pandemic.

The Texas-based company, with nine castles in the United States and one in Toronto, is currently taking reservations for performances starting April 22 at the 2001 N Roselle Road location. The family dinner theater features staged medieval-style games, sword-fighting and jousting.

The move follows last week's announcement by Gov. J.B. Pritzker regarding modifications to Phase 4 of the Restore Illinois reopening plan. The new phase, called "Bridge to Phase 5," allows for 25 percent fixed seating at indoor venues like Medieval Times that seat 200 or more people.
