Motorcyclist Killed In Highway Crash With SUV Near Schaumburg

SCHAUMBURG, IL — A 33-year-old Hoffman Estates man died as a result of injuries sustained July 4 in a highway accident involving a motorcycle and SUV. Nilson Geovani Duarta Ulloa, 33, who was driving the 2004 Yamaha motorcycle, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the Illinois State Police.

At around 8:04 p.m., Ulloa was traveling southbound on Interstate 290 near Golf Road, Schaumburg. A second vehicle, a 2021 Volvo SUV, was also traveling the same route when Ulloa and his motorcycle struck the left side of the SUV. He was ejected from his motorcycle and struck a metal guardrail.
