Murray Bros. Caddyshack In Rosemont To Open On Tax Day

It's the 2nd bar and restaurant to be owned by Bill Murray and his brothers.

ROSEMONT, IL — More than a year since the plans were announced, the Murray Bros. Caddyshack bar and restaurant will finally open next week in Rosemont. Doors will open for business at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 17. It might not be as nice as receiving total consciouness on your deathbed, but it might be a nice way to spend Tax Day this year.

The 8,600-square-foot restaurant at 9546 Balmoral Ave., near the Crowne Plaza Chicago O'Hare Hotel and Conference Center, will have seats for more than 225 customers. It's the second location for the Murray brothers — Bill and fellow entertainers Brian, Joel and John, as well as Andy, a chef, and Ed, a financial executive — who also own a restaurant and bar in St. Augustine, Florida, based on the 1980 movie "Caddyshack" that opened in 2001.

Like the Florida location, the Rosemont eatery will have a gift shop that sells merchandise related to Bill and Brian Doyle Murray's classic comedy. The restaurant continues the Murray brothers' string of golf-related ventures, too. In 2016, the brothers started a line of Chicago Cubs-themed golf apparel.
