Musicians from Ravinia's Steans Music Institute at Metropolis

Ravinia's Steans Music Institute trains top young professional musicians from around the world

Ravinia’s Steans Music Institute brings top young professional musicians from around the world together each summer, and select members from this talented group will perform at Metropolis Performing Arts Centre July 17, 2018.

Ravinia's Steans Music Institute is a unique summer program for young professional musicians that focuses upon interpretation and performance. With enrollment limited to 35 violinists, violists, cellists, pianists, and members of pre-existing chamber groups, young artists find an intimate, collegial atmosphere as they work with each other and meet with a distinguished international faculty for private coaching, chamber music and master classes. Together they search for ways to approach and perform works selected from a broad repertoire. Ravinia's Steans Music Institute fosters a supportive, non-competitive environment for study and performance, with participants from around the world creating a distinctive international community.

Musicians from Ravinia’s Steans Music Institute will be at Metropolis on Tuesday, July 17, 2018 at 7:30 P.M. Tickets are $10. All tickets can be purchased at MetropolisArts.com or by visiting or calling the Metropolis Box Office at 847.577.2121. Metropolis is located in the heart of Chicago’s northwest suburbs in downtown Arlington Heights at the intersection of Campbell and Vail Avenue (111 West Campbell Street). Street parking is available. Free parking is available in the public garage behind the theatre.
