NCH gets creative to hire during pandemic

Always keeping health and safety in mind, Northwest Community Healthcare (NCH) is reaching out to meet potential employees in a new way. On Saturday, November 14 from 10 a.m. – noon, NCH will host a socially distant Drive-Up Job Fair at the NCH Shared Service Center Parking Lot, 3040 Salt Creek Lane, Arlington Heights.

“We know many people are looking for jobs right now, and we thought inviting interested applicants to a drive-up job fair was the safest way to reach the most people,” said Cathy Hennings, employment manager in NCH’s human resources department. “Our goal is to hire and train new employees to begin taking care of our patients as quickly as possible.”

Various NCH departments are hiring, with openings for nearly 40 positions to be filled before the end of the year. Clinical and non-clinical positions are available in Behavioral Health, Home Health, Laboratory Services and Surgery. Hospitality positions are available in Environmental Services and Food and Nutrition Services. Office positions are available in NCH Medical Group offices.

All interested candidates can pull into the parking lot and will not have to leave their car. Candidates should bring their resumes and wear a mask. Hiring managers will be available and socially distanced at the event.

Openings include full-time, part-time and hourly positions at many of NCH locations throughout the northwest suburbs.
