Still No Power For Thousands In AHeights Because Of Blizzard

No electricity can mean no heat. Find out where village residents can go to stay warm.

ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, IL — Thousands of Arlington Heights ComEd customers were without power after a snowstorm rolled through the area Sunday night and early Monday. The village outages are part of a string of outages around the Chicago area that power company is blaming on the severe weather.

More than 5,000 customers througout the village and in nearby communities still were without power late Monday, according to ComEd. Although the cause of the outages is being attributed to the blizzard, the power company is still assessing the damage and don't have an estimate on when power will be restored.

Residents without power — and heat — can go to the following warming centers in Arlington Heights and the surrounding communities.
