Passero Featured On WTTW's 'Check Please" Friday

Get an insider's look at Arlington's Passero on WTTW's popular 'Check Please' this weekend.

ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, IL — If you haven't booked a table at Arlington's popular Passero restaurant, you may want to beat the rush. The trattoria-inspired restaurant will be featured on WTTW's "Check Please" this weekend.

Passero, which means "sparrow" in Italian, offers a menu inspired by Italian-American cuisine and seasonal Midwestern produce. The Campbell Street restaurant is known for its braised short ribs, rich pasta and classic cocktails. It is owned by chef Matt Peota, a former sous chef from Rick Bayless's Frontera Hospitality Group.

Two other restaurants, Chicago's Whisk and Ema also will be featured.
