Railroad Crossing Closing For Repairs At Arlington Heights Road

The Arlington Heights Police Department, Village announced an upcoming closure for repairs at this railroad crossing.

ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, IL — The Arlington Heights Police Department and the Village announced an upcoming railroad crossing closure at Arlington Heights Road and Northwest Highway for repairs. According to officials, the railroad crossing will be closed beginning 9 a.m. Tuesday, March 19 until 5 p.m. Thursday, March 21.

Northbound traffic on Arlington Heights Road will instead turn right at Central Road, travel to Northwest Highway, turn left on Northwest Highway then back to Arlington Heights Road, officials said in a release. Southbound traffic on Arlington Heights Road is directed to turn left at Northwest Highway to Central Road and then right on Central Road, back to Arlington Heights Road, officials added.

Police encourage commuters to change their travel time and routes accordingly, adding that extended traffic delays can be expected in this area.
