It may not feel like it, but spring is right around the corner so get your running shoes ready for several charity runs being held in Arlington Heights.

Run with The Pride 5K Run/Walk

Saturday, March 9

Sponsored by Saint Viator High School. The race is held in the vicinity of St. Viator's, 1213 E. Oakton St. Proceeds will go to Feed My Starving Children, organization that helps feed children throughout the world.

The Metropolis Run/Walk

Saturday, April 6

5K or 10K runs on our USA Track and Field certified course - 1 mile family walk.  Proceeds benefit Metropolis' theatricals and arts education programs.

CLA 5K Charger Run

Saturday, April 6

5K run sponsored by Christian Liberty Academy and held near the school, 502 W. Euclid Ave.

Just Move It! Challenge 2013

Saturday, April 13

5K run and 1-mile walk featuring students, parents, teachers and anyone else interested in fitness. Organized by the Arlington Heights Council of PTAs/ABC/25 Foundation. Run will be held in the area near South Middle School, 400 S. Highland.

Got2Run Race For Education

Saturday, May 18

A 2.62 Micro Marathon and an 8K in the beautiful Scarsdale Neighborhood (starts by Village Hall). Money raised is given back to local schools to fund wellness programs.

Sunday, May 26

Choose from 5L/10K run, 5K walk or the 5K+Tactical Challenge. The USA Track and Field certified courses starting at Miner School, 1101 E. Miner St. and finishing at Recreation Park in downtown Arlington Heights. Race Day registration opens 6:30 a.m.

 

Timber Ridge Roundup 5K Run/Walk and One-mile Fun Run

Saturday, June 1

Timber Ridge School, 201 S. Evanston, Arlington Heights. This fundraiser event is sponsored by the newly formed Timber Ridge Parent Network. Registration: signmeup.com/90921.
