The nonprofit has a Family Thrift Store on W. Rand Road that opened about four years ago in a leased storefront. Salvation Army Major Don Lenz told planning commissioners that the store is profitable and has grown into one of the Salvation Army’s most successful stores in the area, according to planning commission minutes.
A few minor improvements must be made, like adding a landscaping and repairing a fence, per the approval.
