Shots Fired Near Carnival At Woodfield Mall In Schaumburg: Police
An investigation continues into the Friday incident. No injuries were reported.
SCHAUMBURG, IL — Shots were fired in a parking lot Friday night in the area of the Woodfield Mall, Schaumburg. The incident happened at around 9:45 p.m., according to police, while the Woodfield Summer Fling Carnival was ongoing in an adjacent parking lot.
No injuries were reported.
Police responded to the area and discovered a parked, unoccupied car, had sustained bullet hole damage, according to police. Sergeant Karen McCartney told Patch Tuesday the investigation into the incident is ongoing.

The carnival, which was located in parking lot G of the mall at the corner of West Frontage and Woodfield roads, ran through Sunday.
