Still-Running Minivan Stolen From Gas Station: Cops

ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, IL — The following information is from the Arlington Heights Police Department unless otherwise noted. An arrest is not an indication of guilt.

Theft

An unattended black Gucci wallet with red and green stripes was stolen between 10 a.m. Oct. 28 and 11 a.m. Oct. 29 in the 2200 block of South Goebbert Road. Cash, credit cards, gift cards and a driver's license were in the wallet.

Vehicle Break-In

A $1,800 aluminum cutter was stolen between 8 p.m. Oct. 29 and 6:44 a.m. Oct. 30 from a 2014 white Ford van in the 1000 block of North Fernandez Avenue.

Car Break-In

A $500 Escort radar detector was stolen between 10 p.m. Oct. 26 and 9:10 a.m. Oct. 27 from a 2016 red Ford Focus in the 600 block of South Dryden Place. The estimated cost to repair the car damage was unknown.

Bike Theft

A dark gray Diamondback mountain bike worth $500 was stolen between 10 p.m. Oct. 26 and 6 a.m. Oct. 27 in the 600 block W Central. The bike, which has lime green cables and curved handles, had been locked at the time.

Theft

A set of tires was stolen between 7:45 p.m. Oct. 26 and 5:45 a.m. Oct. 27 from a business in the 3400 block of North Arlington Heights Road.

Locker Break-In and Theft

A bag containing clothes and car keys was stolen between 8 and 10:10 p.m. Oct. 23 from a secured locker at Xsport Fitness, 960 W. Dundee Road. The victim later discovered that his wallet also had been stolen from his car. Cash and credit cards were in the wallet.

Bike Theft

A dark gray Diamondback mountain bike was stolen between 8 a.m. and 8:20 p.m. Oct. 22 from the Metra station at 45 W. Northwest Hwy. The bike, which has lime green cables and curved handles, had been locked at the time.

Auto Theft

A 2014 black Dodge Caravan was stolen between 7:15 and 7:21 p.m. Oct. 25 from a gas station in the 1000 block of West Dundee Road. The minivan was unlocked and running at the time.
