Take Metra to Arlington International

The Metra Union Pacific Northwest Line goes to and from Arlington International Racecourse, making travel quick and easy.

From Metra Rail: Heading off to the races can be quick and easy this weekend and every race day with Metra Union Pacific Northwest Line service to and from Arlington International Racecourse. Opening Day is Friday, May 5, followed the next day by one of Chicagoland’s best parties of the year – the annual celebration of the running of the Kentucky Derby.

The UP Northwest Line is extremely convenient for race fans living on the city’s northwest side or in the northwest suburbs, with the Arlington Park Station located just outside the track gates.

Outbound trains leave from Ogilvie Transportation Center at Canal and Madison in downtown Chicago. Connections between the UP Northwest and UP North lines can be made downtown or at the Clybourn Station; CTA rapid transit and select CTA bus routes also provide connections to the UP Northwest Line at the shared Jefferson Park Station.
