Veterans Day 2018: What's Open, Closed In Arlington Heights

ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, IL — This year, Veterans Day was officially Sunday, Nov. 11, and while events honoring U.S. military men and women were held this weekend, many institutions around Arlington Heights will observe the holiday Monday.
Here's a look at how some places and services in the village will be handling Veterans Day:
Schools: District 15, District 25, District 59 and District 211 and District 214 schools will have classes.

Village Government: Village Hall and village offices will be closed. County, state and federal government offices will be closed, too.
Arlington Heights Memorial Library: The library will have normal Monday hours.

Postal Service: No mail delivery, and all post offices will be closed.
Banks: Most financial institutions will be closed. Call ahead to be sure.
Retailers, Restaurants, Bars and Other Businesses: Most will be open, but check hours ahead of time.
