5 Dead, 5 Police Wounded In Aurora, Illinois Shooting: Photos

Heartbreaking photos in Aurora show chaotic scene after a shooter opened fire at an industrial park earlier today.

AURORA, IL — Officials have confirmed five people were killed, while another five were wounded when a gunman opened fire in Aurora, Illinois, Friday February 15, 2019.

Dozens of first responder vehicles arrived outside a building housing the Henry Pratt Co. in Aurora. John Probst, an employee at the company, told a local ABC affiliate that "he ran out of the back door as the shooting unfolded," The Associated Press reported. Probst says he recognized the gunman to be another employee of Henry Pratt Co. and says that he saw the shooter "running down the aisle with a pistol with a laser on it."

Henry Pratt Co. is a company that makes valves for industrial purposes. Aurora, a city of about 200,000 people, is located about 40 miles west of Chicago.

According police, the situation is contained and there is currently no ongoing threat.
