1 Injured In Back-To-Back Aurora Weekend Shootings; Police On The Hunt
Both shootings took place on Monomoy Street minutes away from three Aurora schools.

AURORA, IL — Two back-to-back weekend shootings in the 1300 block of Monomoy Street have Aurora Police looking to the public for clues. The first shooting occurred Friday around 12:45 a.m. The victim was driving two co-workers home from work when bullets hit their parked SUV. The suspect shot multiple rounds. The driver drove himself and his passengers to a hospital where he was treated for gunshot wounds to his elbow and thigh. The suspect was described as black, 30 to 40 years old, 6 feet 1 inch tall and 225 pounds. He was wearing a black hairnet, black hooded sweatshirt and white shorts. The man in question was last seen walking toward Gladstone Avenue.
The following day around 9:25 p.m., two Aurora men, ages 22 and 23, said they were outside with a third man who they refused to identify, when someone across the street started yelling in their direction. The suspect fired his weapon and no one was hit. He was described as black, 5 feet 6 inches tall and 180 pounds. He was seen running from the area wearing a White Sox cap and leather coat.
Monomoy Street is off of Randall Road in Aurora, within a mile of Rosary High School, Jefferson Middle School and West Aurora High School. Police urge those who have any information on either incident on Monomoy Street to call Crime Stoppers at 630-892-1000.
