KANE COUNTY, IL — More than 113,000 people in Kane County were fully vaccinated against the coronavirus by Tuesday, public health data shows. That represents about 21.25 percent of the county's population.

More than 285,000 doses of the coronavirus vaccine have been administered in Kane County, according to statistics from the Illinois Department of Public Health.

Kane County's vaccine rollout hit hew highs over the past week, with the county's seven-day rolling average of doses administered reaching an all-time high of 5,681 on Tuesday, the state’s data shows.

Nearly 6,900 doses were administered April 7, the most in a single day in Kane County.

Volunteers Needed For Mass Vaccination Clinics In Kane County

Racial disparities have been a factor in Kane County's vaccine rollout since the first doses were administered in mid-December.

White people have received 70.5 percent of all coronavirus vaccines administered in the county, though they make up about 57 percent of the county's population, according to IDPH and U.S. Census Bureau data.

Latino residents have received about 15.2 percent of all doses administered, despite representing just under a third of the county's population, according to those statistics.

Black residents, who make up about 6 percent of Kane County's population, have received 3.18 percent of all doses administered there, the state's data shows.
