Aurora Police made three separate arrests recently tied to a laundry list of charges.

AURORA, IL — Three suspects were recently caught with illegally-possessed guns in a multi-agency effort to take unlawfully acquired weapons off the streets. All of the men are facing charges from the Kane County State's Attorney's Office, and are currently being held at Kane County lockup with bail figures ranging from $150,000 - $40,000. No one was injured during any of these incidences. Among those charged:

James M. Fultz, 47, of the 1100 block of Kane Street, was charged with the following:

  • Being an armed habitual criminal (class-X felony, calls for extended prison term if convicted)
  • Six counts of aggravated unlawful use of a weapon
  • Two counts of unlawful use of a weapon by a felon
  • Unlawful possession of a stolen firearm
  • Unlawful possession of a stolen firearm by a street gang member which are all felonies
  • Driving on a revoked license (misdemeanor)
  • Driving with an obstructed windshield (misdemeanor)

Fultz’s charges are the result of patrol surveillance at a known street gang hangout that took place Nov. 11 in the area of Fenton Street and Loucks Street. Officers were aware Fultz had a revoked driver’s license, and saw him drive away just before 3 a.m. The suspect was stopped in the 1100 block of Kane Street. In his car, police found a 9mm handgun that was stolen in Kentucky.
