42K Pounds Of Food To Be Distributed Saturday In Aurora
Volunteers are expected to hand out more than 20 tons of chicken and rice Saturday at Waubonsie Valley High School.
AURORA, IL — Residents can stop by Waubonsie Valley High School in Aurora on Saturday to pick up free meals of chicken and rice.
Volunteers from the Laborers’ International Union of North America Local 68 are expected to hand out more than 20 tons of chicken and rice at a food-distribution event hosted by State Rep. Karina Villa.
The event at the high school, located at 2590 Ogden Ave., is set to run from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., though it could end earlier if all food is handed out before then, according to a news release.

The food is being donated by Amigos Meat and Martin Produce, the release states.
