$90,000 Radio Shack Robbery And A Nearly 40-Mile Police Chase In Wisconsin: 5 From Aurora Area Charged

Three other suspects fled into farm fields during the police chase.

Five people from the Aurora area may be away from home longer than they expected. Three women and two men from Aurora and Montgomery were arrested early Tuesday morning after allegedly stealing $90,000 worth of merchandise and leading police on a nearly 40 mile chase in Wisconsin, according to a police department press release.

Just before 3 a.m. Tuesday, a witness reported that five people dressed in black ran out of a closed Radio Shack carrying merchandise. The suspects entered two vehicles and drove away. The witness called police and followed the suspects for two miles until officers arrived, police said.

Police pursued a Jeep Grand Cherokee and a Kia Optima at high speeds before Green County Sheriff’s deputies deployed tire deflation devices to stop the vehicles. The Jeep hit the devices and stopped after driving a mile on flat tires, according to police. The driver, 18-year-old Alexis Marylinn Beyer, was apprehended. Three additional suspects fled from the Jeep into nearby farm fields and were not apprehended, police said.

The Kia was eventually stopped by multiple law enforcement agencies in the City of Janesville, about 37 miles from the burglarized Radio Shack.

The driver of the Kia was identified as Diamond Rikki Madison, a 21-year-old from Aurora. Police identified the passengers as Michael Lavell Bush Jr., 25, of Aurora; Tynario Rashard Brown, 21, also from Aurora; and Kneirah V. Johnson, an 18-year-old from Montgomery. Police said $90,000 worth of cellphones and equipment was taken from the Radio Shack, but much of this has been recovered.

An arrest and charge is simply an accusation of a crime, not a finding of guilt.
