AURORA, IL — The newest Amy Morton restaurant just opened in Aurora. Stolp Island Social, a steakhouse that serves up prime cuts of meat, fresh seafood, craft cocktails, and more, opened its doors Friday at 5 E. Galena Blvd. in downtown Aurora.

With Stolp Island Social Morton carries on the steakhouse tradition that started when her father, Arnie Morton, opened Morton's Steakhouse in downtown Chicago. This is the third restaurant for Amy, who brings her own brand of cuisine and style to Stolp Island, which features an open kitchen and is designed into five separate rooms to create an intimate dining atmosphere.

The chef relies on fresh and locally sourced ingredients to execute an extensive menu that spotlights such dishes as burrata and eggplant ragout, farm steak frites, and prix-fixe menu items. The steak selection runs the gamut from center strip Manhattan cut to filet mignon, to a 14-oz dry-aged New York strip.
