AURORA, IL — Christmas has come and gone, so soon it'll be time to dispose of natural Christmas trees. Residents in Aurora can leave trees for curbside pickup on their regular trash collection day starting Jan. 6.

Curbside pickup for Christmas trees runs from Jan. 6 through Jan. 17. To ensure that your tree gets picked up, remove all ornaments, lights, tinsel, and garland and do not place your tree in a bag. Trees should be left on the curb by 6 a.m. on your designated trash pickup day. Garland and wreaths will not be collected.

If you plan to leave your tree out for pickup after Jan. 17, you'll need to buy and use a trash sticker.
